Jim,

There are position markers however this bass was made as a fretless so there are no frets. My camera does not come close to doing this instrument justice.

I remember the eBay auctions for that pair of basses. They were both very pretty.

Sorry to see you selling, Rory. Did you ever get your custom fiver?

Rory:

Good to hear from you! Hope things are going well. Glad to see the Series I isn't for sale.

I can attest to the beauty of this Series II as I've seen it in person. Extremely rich cocobolo.

Bob and Bill

Thanks for checking in it is always good to hear from you both. Everything is good I just find myself not playing these basses so it is time to let them go. As Bill mentioned I still have and love my Series I, so that will be part of my life for the unforseen future. These are two very nice instruments and will surely put a smile to someones face and bring years of Alembic joy and tradition to any collection. I am still waiting on my 6 string Bob, it might be time to go sleep on Val's doorstep!

Oops - I thought it was a five. I knew there more than four anyway...

Someone out there is going to get a couple really nice basses. Good luck with your sales!
