Wasn't this one a Guitar Center auction? I KNOW i've seen this bass before. The GC watermark is gone from the photos.

A 2k bid, a 24 hour auction, looks like trouble. Anyone?

I bought this bass from Guitar center about a month ago, and still have it. This is a SCAM.

The most intersting thing is if you go to the seller's history. Of the 28 feedbacks, at least 20 are for books, 3 are MAC OS X's and then a couple randoms. Now all of a sudden he's got his hands on an Alembic to sell? Does he not think anyone would look at his history?

I really miss the scam-free days of ebay.

The seller listed is probably ligit. This guy has hacked their ebay handle/account and is using their name. This hurts two ways, the person who gets scammed by sending this IDIOT money and the seller ID he has hacked. If you look close to the listing he says to contact him at his "work email" directly and not through ebay. I would never do this on any listing.

Sigh,

I'll try to contact the bidder.

Ebay now blocks such attempts so I guess the poor guy is on his own.

I've already contacted the bidder and he responded so he is aware. I've reported this to ebay too but they haven't acted yet.

Hello, everybody,

I just saw this on eBay and knew in a second that is was a scam. Your MK seems to be top poll for ebay scammers this year, Olie, as the Conqueror was last year, LOL !

However, I think ebay is much more concerned about scams than in past times. I recently reported a scam with an Elan involved, and ebay removed the scammer within a few hours...

Have fun with your bass, and keep watching activities on ebay,

Christian (the faker)

This is the second time since I've owned this bass that this guy listed it on ebay. I know of two other time before I bought it that he did the same thing. Thats whay I hesitated buying it before. I purchased it directly from GC and not ebay. I have purchased other basses on ebay without problems, just always use caution.

It's gone.

Ebay pulled it.

Amazing.

I'd love to get my hands on this guy. I wonder how many other ads he has listed off of stolen listings. (sic/grammer)
