I saw this on eBay and need some help.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7419065241&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:US:1
The seller says the d.c.resistance- 6.6k ohms and the sound is vintage passive. The wires have been cut to shreds - no battery clip. The seller seems less than willing to give any info. His answer to my questions was Do active pickups work without a battery? Or read 6k?
Now I never knew a pickup that could read but....

The seller doesn't know what he's talking about. These are standard Alembic active pickups with a pre-amp and a low pass filter. The only thing that looks to be missing is 5 way selector switch and the battery clip. I suspect Alembic could easily put you in the right direction in hooking these up.

You might have to wait a long time. I've been following Alembic listings on ebay regulary for at least 2 years and this is the first set of strat pickups I can remember. Alembic guitar pickups are pretty rare on ebay. I've seen the tele pickups come up twice, and I bought one of them for about $275. Considering that the strat set goes for $1050 new (MSRP), even with having to buy the preamp and filter from Alembic, these might still be a deal.
