Hey everybody. I am going to try to part with this bass again. It is an Alembic 5 string bass with a graphite neck. It is painted all black. Under that black paint is a macassar ebony body. I think the body may be solid ebony. That is what the original wood card leads me to believe. It is also a medium scale bass. It looks good and plays well. The real reason that I would like to part with it is that I am used to a small standard body with the strap button on the rear of the bass. I have a problem playing any bass with a the strap button on the horn. I also favor playing a 4 string instead of a 5. The bass is in overall good condition except for a spot on the back where the paint is worn down to the black primer. It is about the size of a quarter. This bass did not start it's life as being black, but someone refinished it and installed chrome hardware. I paid $2400 for this bass and would like to get that for it. I can be reached at mdelac@lsuhsc.edu or at dela217@excite.com. You can call me at
504-887-5756. I live in New Orleans, so that is central time......Michael Delacerda
