unfortunately you need a subscription to browse their archive.

as a side note, i bought my '76 series I fretless from them about 5 years ago. i think they've changed hands since then.

I used to own that one. I bet I can make you guys groan. Here goes.....

I bought it in like 1996 or 97 over the internet for $1,750 *******groan*******

I sold it in 2000 to Brian Barrett at The Low End for $1,950 *****groan*******. Helped fund the purchase of my custom 5 string and the Series I that I got from Stanley Clarke.

Brian had it on eBay before the package even landed on his doorstep. I think he got something like $2,300 for it *****sob***** It wound up at Bunny Bass some time after that. For a whole lot more cheddar than $2,300. Oddly enough, I no longer own anything in this picture. Not even the carpet. (well maybe one of the guitar stands)

Peace,

James

the carpet looks like berber. you're better off w/o it. expensive and the first time a tiny thread comes loose and feeds into the beater bar of your vacuum, you've just ruined thousands of dollars in carpet which can't be rewoven or replaced in a patch job. wish i'd never put the stuff in my home, that's for sure. you're better off w/o the carpet, but not without those gorgeous basses. wow!
