Price seems high to me already for this bass, I am sure there are many of you out there that are more expereinced with Distillate valuation. Essentially it has Europa electronics (pickup selector vs. pan) so the tone range is fantastic, purpleheart lams too. It is an '84 so it will have the shorter upper horn (was made slightly longer in '85). The one on EBay is beautiful and should go for a good dollar. Maybe people are starting to realize what a bargain these old Distillates are. That was my conclusion from my research on all the models. The set of features on a Distillate are roughly comparable to a Rogue or Europa, but the Distillates sell for far less. That's part of why I chose that model. It is a lot of bass for the dollar! I'm just glad I got mine before everyone else started realizing this! Curt
