I've requested a serial number and a headstock photo- anybody have any opinions on this?

What's a used Essence been going for anyhow?

I would say around 1200-1500 for a basic model depending on the condition
I actually just bought a used Essence that looks alot like that. Great bass!

Tom,
that's what I thought (based on my sketchy memory).

I'm one who bumps back and forth between 4's and 5's and am currently without a 5 string. The seller has responded to emails and has passed along the serial number and is sending some more detailed pics. Seems to be on the up and up.....*I hope*

Thanks for the input. If you have any more advice or input, I'd be grateful.

Regards,
Toby

Hey Ive bumped back and forth between an Alembic 4 and 5 myself, more times than I care to remember, These days Im looking to own both at the same time for a change :-)

Just offhand.... You might want to find out if the bass has the original case. From the pic it looks clean, and that knob is easily replaced you can order one from the Alembic store.
Good luck

Good point about the case- I'll ask about that-

I'm not too concerned with the cap for the knob, I've found the replacement knobs in the store.

6 days of sitting and watching. Always the hard part =)

no idea..it was there one minute, gone the next. Just says the seller removed the item.

Seller was good with email inquries, sent me lots of pics and answered all my questions- he added a Buy Now and then it disappeared.

Somebody must have bought it locally?

Either way...I'll find one before too long.
