I've been to The Low End and had this bass in my hands. It IS as represented by Brian. Trade out to new keys, bird, and bridge, and this '77 would be in fabulous shape; as it is, it's very sound, but the brass and gold plated bits do show their age. But the wood is in marvelous shape, action good. I played it through one of Brian's preamps, through a QSC into a Schroeder 410. No buzz or audio wierdness in a fluroescent-lit room. I'm no expert on Series electronics, but nothing jumped out at me, and it has the original cigar-box power supply with a solid five-pin cord and the original case. This is sure gonna make SOMEBODY a NICE axe. J o e y |

This is NOT a clone When I had my Series 1 "copy", there was no motif on the headstock-apart from the word Fernandes" in small gold letters-------still a great bass, but NOT an Alembic This looks the genuine article Plug it in and you will see/hear the difference As I've owned one before, anyone with a question on Fernandes can contact me no problem George |
