You're in the price range for a Spoiler or Persuader four string or an Epic in 4-6 strings. Outside of that, you will need a miracle... Make yourself an Alembic fund and start dropping money into it when you can. If you can get your budget up a few hundred, you should be able to find a dream bass. Good luck! | ||

Look for my Epic 6 thread from a couple of weeks ago. I think it's worth more than $1300 but have had others cut me a break on this site. You'll have S&H too but all in it could be what you want. dw | ||

I bought my first Essence for $1100 (no case), and my second for about $1350 (with G&G case). These deals are out there, you just need to find them. Neither of the Essences I bought came from Ebay. The first was from www.conn-signmentmusic.com, and the next was from www.goodguysguitars.com.
