Shame that wasn't on there about a week ago as I've just won one in the USA and got to wait far too many days for it to arrive.

Nice one.
FYI I will be up in Scotland playing at the Knorraloch World Music festival over the 15th and 16th September with Apache Indian.

It should be a good gig as we've done quite a lot of festivals in Europe and Canada this year.
all the best with the F1-X

well I got my F-1X in the post today and plugged the output of it into my return channel on my Mesa boogie amp..... :-)

Take a bit of getting used to but so far it sounds ok.
I'll have another go with it at the weekend and maybe run my SF-2 through it as well.

Mine also arrived yesterday. 2 Days!! That was faster than any shop I've bought electronic goods from. Straight from the box with the recommended 'flat' settings 2-10-2 running the PLX in parallel mode from the full range socket, the tone was immediately full, deep and rich. I'm in a bit of a quandary now as the tone is superb but the amp lacks many of the features of the Eden that I've become used to - tuner output, mute switch, turbo boost, compression etc. Time to do some serious thinking.

Could be expensive thinking too. I'm saving up for a one of the new PLX1804 amps which should give me more than enough power for my gigs plus a light weight to carry in a rack.

Graeme - if you are not using the effects loop, you can use the send as a tuner output.

Thanks Mica. I did a bit of experimenting last night and found out exactly that ;-) I also found that using the mute switch on the Korg Tuner mutes the F1-X if I run a cable from it's output back to the pre-amp. All I need now is a decent compressor (I'm looking at the Aphex Bass exciter), probably a distortion pedal (again, I'm looking at the EBS multidrive and their Unichorus) - and a latching footswitch for the tuner mute and I can relegate the Eden to backup (or even put it on evil bay).
