OK, it's not an Alembic, but I reckon we can sneak it in here as being quite obviously Alembic-inspired.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BASS-GUITAR-SUPERNATURAL-JAYDEE-JAY-DEE-JD_W0QQitemZ320020220878QQihZ011QQcategoryZ4713QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

But the real reason I put this here - read the seller's rant - that's one unhappy bunny. There's a warning to us all!

I don't think she will be managing bass players anymore:

Maybe a fun read, but I'd never bid on it. Who wants to deal with a seller like that? If "she" stuck to being pissed at her ex and was less rude to those asking questions, it might become interesting to a buyer. I say "she" because, in the internet world, who knows if this is reality or just an angle to make a sale.

I'm inclined to think it's a story to get an interest in the bass.

However if it sells. Why not. Sex is used to sell many things and so is a scandalous story true or false.

That is absolutely priceless. Roman Conqueror, Pt. 2.

I'd be afraid to bid on that f****** plank, too.

Stanley Clunk and Marcus Mumbler, u f****** bass anorak ! ! (Read the questions at the bottom!!)

I'm laughing so hard I'm crying. This listing was the whippet's dinkle ! !

It's being discussed on the Bassworld forum. The consensus is that it's a shared profile and the guy has made up the story to get some interest. It'll be interesting to see how much it goes for.

Then that is certainly not the 'Whippets Dinkle" and I am sure Mark Kink would be appalled!

Whippets Dinkle? Maybe I'm losing something in the translation, but why would I want a bass that is comparable to a dog's genetalia? Does it only come out of it's "gig bag" when it is excited? I'd probably come home and catch it humping my Alembic!

It starts as a short scale, but as you start playing it and the music gets hotter it .... on second thought, never mind!

By the way, I hope everyone notices that she is talking about bass players, NOT guitarists! nyuk, nyuk!

Would you be brave enough to pick it up yourself?

If you check the sellers feedback the sxxtload of bxxxt clothes would suggest a woman... 'She' also seems to sell 'her' son's 'unwanted' toys
Joke or not, I still think it's funny.

This seems to be the only item which she is using this markting trick with.

A Juvenile Delinquent bass and bass player.

At least with a drummer you can tell them to beat-it!

OK, first one of you who'll name his COTM 'The Whippet's Dinkle' . . . . be even better if it's one of those Stanley Clunk models.

She's even heard of "Alumbucks"(sic)... but mistakenly thinks they're inferior to Jaydees.

Hey Bill,

I thought I said I'd get you the SAME thing you gave me last year! :-) However, my wife does that to me ALL the time!

"I told you my parents were coming for Christmas, and you said yes"...and my response, "I did?"

She LOVES to ask me stuff at 2am, waking me out of a dead sleep to get the answer she wants! Good woman. She's taught me a trick or two!

Tony, there's still plenty of time to promise me an Alembic for my next birthday (which is a couple of weeks before Bill, tgo's birthday). Sorry that I'm trying to cut in line, Bill.
A tip on the kid thing. Carry pictures in your wallet and write their names on the backs.
I remember very well the story of your getting your latest bass. But don't be fooled. My memory is slipping like you wouldn't believe. Just ask my wife.

Tell you what Rich, if I hit the 20 Million lottery tonight, you got it!

Good idea with the pictures, I have to remember that!

It's horrible getting old, isn't it?
