I've seen a couple of Alembic basses on Dutch auctions.
Here we go:

Series I (standard Omega) from 1978 (refinished not by Alembic and one of the omega points has been repaired, also not by Alembic) 1500 euro

Alembic Mark King signature coco bolo (I know the seller and I know it is in a very good condition) No fixed price

Alembic Stanley Clarke signature, no fixed price

Alembic Essence (walnut), also without a price

Alembic Epic, 990 euro.

All basses are four string basses.

You can see pictures of it. Go to:
http://www.advertentiezoeker.nl/

(Trefwoord) Alembic (zoeken)

The Essence bass is in my hometown and the Mark King belongs to a fellow clubmember.

FYI:
Shipping costs to the US are in the 250 USD range, well, that's what my last shipping costs were for a series I plus case and power supply.
Since these add are all in dutch, me and probably some other dutch clubmembers are always willing to help you out.

Wow!
Thanks, Manfred. That's a bunch of nice basses. I can't tell if the S1 has a power supply or not. When I find our Dutch exchange student I'll ask her. How close is that S1 to you? Thanks,
Charles

Hi Charles,

This is what the add says:
The bass has side leds, has been refinished about 8 years ago but hasn't been played a lot since refinishing. There's a hum in the electronics (maybe it needs an upgrade or maybe it's just the good ol' humcancelling procedure). One of the omega points has been repaired. The pickup selector has been moved. Comes with cable and power supply, plus original documents. He's asking 150 euro extra for the flightcase.
That's about it.

Thanks, Manfred. It is really tempting me. I love the old omegas.
I am thinking about calling, since I haven't figured out how to email them yet.
I hope the speak English.
