I recently traded the Elan for a Maple Essence that was at Bass NW , It's an amazing instrument, hard to let it go. I wasn't playing it much since I gravitate towards 4-strings, It's a li'l easier letting an Alembic go if another one is coming...the Essence is pretty cool : ). |

I took a look at it in person yesterday. It looks way nicer in person than in the photographs that have a somewhat orangey hue. elwood- glad you are enjoying the Essence! |

Your right , in person it's very cherry, My Jack Casady will be delivered tomorrow, ...first time I've really looked forward to an Epiphone, it's a set neck instrument ,I'm optimistic for some reason about it. : ) |

The Casady Bass should have lots of nice tone. I've considered one of those myself. good luck! |
