Half the price of the infamous John Judge bass, and better looking IMHO. And it comes with an SF-2 and free shipping! Now if only I won the lottery, played bass, and had the same back I had when I was 20 ....

"O, that the opening bid were the Buy It Now price!"

If you wait 4 days and 20 hours to place your bid, it just might be the BIN price.

Bill,

you should know why this is just half the price of Peggy: this lady has only ONE pistol grip shaped horn. And little less strings... on the other hand: I love those bird tail pieces.

I didn't make the jackpot yesterday, so I guess I have to pass on this acquisition ;-)

Those are cute little tailpieces. Were those common at some point, or custom? I don't recall seeing similar ones.

I like the tailpieces too. I've seen a few like this, but I don't think it was ever common.

I've played this beastie, a few years ago now. It's interesting, but be warned -- you'll just about need to be a gorilla to hit the low notes on the fretless neck. I'm near six feet, and I couldn't hit the notes below the G on the E string or the B-flat on the A string.

It's also interesting in that there is a nice radius on the fretless fingerboard, but the baritone fingerboard is flat.
