You're right, I don't understand. Of course I also don't understand paying $20,000 for a brand new strat just because it has the same dings, wear, and cigarette burn marks as Clapton's "Blackie". LOL

I guess it depends on if you’re a collector or a player. I'm on the player side of this coin.

The only negative side I can see in collectors is they drive the price up on certain classes of instrument's and get them priced out of range for the "average income" player.
