Have you ever played that body style before? If not and you want to try one before you buy, I live in the Dallas area, not looking to sell mine but you're welcome to come by and play it. I really like the Balance K body. |

I'm not surprised. Mind you, I've been thinking about a 5 string cocobolo balance k for a while ;-) Graeme |

smuprof, Take a six pack of IBCs to Olie's. A cautionary word: you won't want to leave his "music room". That's what he calls it, but in reality, it's a trap for the unwary bassist, more akin to Odysses' sirens....go and see and have some fun. Mike |

Mike, you make me sound like the "Pusher". (BY the way how's the "you-know-what" working out). |

Olie, Olie, Olie I'm just doing my best to widen your circle of friends... ;) ("the-you-know-what" is working out just fine. I'm taking it back for another run...) |

Jeff - Hmm, key piece of missing information - I'm looking for a 5 string Olie - I played one at the factory last fall and fell in love - I have an Distallate Exploiter 4 string which balances very well, and I really liked the feel of the Balance K I played in CA. Having said that, I would really enjoy the chance to check out the music room, pusher's den, siren's island, etc. Hey, is it pushing if I'm already an addict? Olie, the office is at Spring Valley and the Tollway, I live up near Legacy and the Tollway. Send me an email at jterry@churchillterry.com if you're serious about letting me play with your toys. |

That's actually a 3/4 body Normand not a Balance K, BUT I'll add John that I like the way my 3/4 body feels better than the Balance K. |

Yes olie, hence the "3/4 link". Just haven't been able to look up many, I should say any balance k at all. They must be popular enough so that people don't give them up often. Anything happening with craigslist anybody know? NLP |

Well crew, the search is over. I bought an MK5 Std from Beaver Felton at Bass Central and now am sitting anxiously awaiting the arrival of UPS. I'll post more when I get it and can put it down long enough to get on the PC again. Olie, you're the best! Thanks for letting me visit your bass "store" and make a final decision. |

Okay gang - sorry for the delay, but here are the pics. It's a Mark Standard, 5 string, Coco Bolo top, maple and purpleheart laminate over mahogany, omega cut, and maple neck with walnut pin stripes. Red LEDs with Amber at 12th and 24th frets. Oh, and a picture of the "boys" hanging out by the piano. You know, once you buy the second one, it just keeps getting easier! |

Congratulations on the beautiful Coco Bolo Signature Balance K Omega! It's quite a beauty, I'm sure you must be thrilled! And the side LEDs are an awesome bonus. They're VERY useful, and they make playing in the dark much more interesting and fun -as well as easy. I recently ordered one myself, which recent began construction, and I can't wait to get it! Congratulations again, it sure it pretty, and we all know it sound just as good (or better... to the extent that's possible)! |
