1983 Alembic Electrum #83E27xx.

* Non-original HSC
* Kahler Floyd Rose Bridge (with integrated fine tuners) and locking nut.
* 4 position pickup selector

Details & pictures of this guitar can be seen at:
http://fj45.com/Instruments/Alembic_Electrum-1983.htm

Visually it is the most boring looking Alembic I have ever played. It is black on black with ebony fingerboard.

This one has been played a lot and it shows; so if you are a pristine-condition-only zealot then this instrument is not for you unless you are inclined to have it refininshed.

I am not sure what woods were used in the construction. I emailed Mica earlier today for those details and I will post that information (if she does not) after I hear back from her.

I will sell it with or without the Korg Z3 Guitar synthesizer (depending on the buyers interest).

I have no idea what the current market value for this guitar is and I would welcome some helpful guidance on the pricing. I have not set a price yet but will probably list it on eBay soon if I do not sell it locally. Email me if you are interested.

Regards

Eugene:

As a fellow owner of a 1983 Electrum, I've kept an eye on prices. As you probably know, Electrums don't come up on ebay very often. The last couple of Electrums on ebay went this past summer for about $2000-$2200. This was a little more than the $1700-$1900 I had previously seen. I suspect the paint, wear and tear may serve to decrease the price you may get for yours, unless you find someone who really likes the whammy and/or synth. I've never seen a Korg synth like yours. I use a Roland GR 33. How do you like the Korg?

Don't know if my emails are getting through to you, Eugene; but I'd like to know your price on the Electrum and/or when you plan on putting up for sale on ebay. Email me with a price or details if you get a chance. Thanks. David.

Hey Bill, I'm a GR-30 user. Love it when they say "where's the keyboard player" ;) I have a PG-380 too, where's that technology now???

I found this link...http://www.joness.com/gr300/korgz3.htm

Looks like the ZD3 is remenant of the late '80s synth wars.

Mica; I am preparing to sell my Electrum #83E2714 and because it has an all-black finish I am unable to determine what woods were used in its construction. I am hoping that you can tell me what (if-anything) the records indicate about the construction of this guitar.

The body is noted as solid Mahogany, which is typical for a factory-supplied black finish instrument. It's got a Maple neck, but besides the black finish and the chrome hardware, there's scant details on the build.

We originally sent this guitar to Music World in Simi Valley CA back on June 9, 1983.

Hey, Eugene. I sent you an email when you posted your guitar, asking for a price, etc., and never heard a response.

Perhaps my email did not go through to you. In the interim I got the chance to buy a Series I 6 string guitar and did so. I still may be interested in yours. What is the price? You can email me if you wish. It's listed on my profile.
