That would most likely have to be ordered brand new. Not many Dragon Wing's have been made and I have not seen a used one for sale yet (unless I missed it). Also given the request of coco bolo front, ash body & zebra back, I don't recall those feature on any D.W.'s yet. I too hope to own a D.W. someday (lefty though) so I always keep a close eye on any talk of D.W.'s. Let's see if anyone here can offer any further info.

I have a USA made Bob Glaub Sign. Model from Lakland and i'm looking for something that has that magic and i played an alembic and i couldnt even look at any other bass, it just wasnt a fair comparison

Yes, Alembics are that good.
If it's the body style that is drawing you to them then you may have a wait on your hands in order to pick up a used one. Your other options are to buy one from a dealer or order one to your specs.
However, if your willing to consider other body styles, "that magic" is available in other shapes and electronic configurations.
Can you elaborate on which Alembic model you played? What features are you looking for? The for sale/trade area is pretty active. You might consider posting a query over there.

I played a Series II Model with a double omega shape and i believe to be the standard electronics that come with the bass and it had the Coco Bulo Top which was just amazing

To my knowledge, fewer than six DWs have been built. The chances of finding a used one are damn close to zero. Also, the electronics in these DW basses are Signature, not Series.

A used Dragon Wing is a rare sight indeed.

Mark,

Indeed, there are few of them floating around right now. This doesn't mean you can't order one if you can afford it.

I have a Spyder, two Essences, a Europa, and I have a custom Series II being built. There is magic in all of them. What you might want to do is pick up a used Alembic, then save for the DW of your dreams, and order it. You won't be disappointed either way, trust me. I've used Alembics both at home and in a war zone, and believe me, not only do they sound and play beautifully, they're "bullet proof."

Best of Luck,

Alan

P.S. The bass in the pictures at the above link is mine, as are the subsequent pictures of me with it at home.
