Alembic magnets? I don't know if anyone can verify the authenticity of this item, but it seemed like fun to use for the fridge if nothing else. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280069206881 And yes, I already bought them. Seemed like the cheapest Alembic item I'd ever seen ;) |

I remember these being sold as a "hot rod kit" either by Alembic or Stars Guitars. I had a friend that tried them out on his ES330. I forget how he liked them. It was a loooooonnnngg time ago. Bill, tgo |

I will look around to see if I can find my paperwork for these Hot Rod Sets. If I remember correctly LD Heater was the distributor for these sets to music stores in that late '70s. I bought an old display set up that a dealer would put it on his sales counter. They were ceramic magnets that came with some sheilding, and there was also a full humbucker kit. My stuff is in a storage vault but I scanned in some of the paperwork of the important things, so I wouldn't have to run there to get "reference material" when needed. Once I find the disc I'll let you know. |
