Four string 32" Spoiler with solid koa body sides and the standard three-piece maple neck. SN 82S2345. Picked this one up to get a feel for the neck and electronics before ordering a custom. The previous owner told me the bass went back to Alembic in '99 to get Signature electronics installed though the factory couldn't confirm it. Hasn't been out of the case in over a year since I got my first short scale. See pics and some discussion here. I figure the value approaches that of a Signature Standard bass with this electronics package, so I am looking for $2000 plus actual shipping. -Bob |

Sweet! Very nice looking bass. It looks like you're making room for some more stuff! That's not a bad deal at $2k. for that kind of an upgrade. NLP |

Not really - I have plenty of stuff. Just some long overdue cleanup to regain some space. I have a couple non-Alembics to sell as well. Maybe I'll post them tomorrow... |

I am disappointed to report that the local buyer has backed out of the purchase for financial reasons. As such, the bass is back on the market... -Bob |

This bass is still available and, I think, a bargain at this price compared to many other Alembics on the used market. |

This bass is still available and the price is dropped officially to $1900 plus shipping. I thought I had another deal done at that price, but logistics seem to have caused a breakdown in the process. Pictures of the electronics cavity have been sent to Alembic and the Signature electronics are confirmed. There is some electrical tape on one of the pickup leads because it was too short and the other has a lot of slack making it appear that the pickup positions were swapped for some reason. The routing works is pretty clean and I still believe that Alembic did the upgrade as advertised, though it is certain that someone else did the pickup move (if there was one) as Alembic wouldn't have gone the electrical tape route. Here's the pic of the cavity if anyone wants to see it:

I am sooooo wishing I could take this one off your hands right now. If it's still around in September or October you'll hear from me. Toby |
