5000$ for a 1986 short scale series I?

I'd never pay $5k, but then I wouldn't sell mine for that either! Short scales tend to fetch more, simply because they come up less often. There is a lovely long scale series bass in the for sale section for $2700.00 or something like that. That seems to be a more realistic price to me.
