In the Detroit area, there is a very nice Mark King Lefty 4, with Quilted Maple top, a layer of Purpleheart under that and a Mahogany back. It's at Berkley Music, 248-543-3900. It is very nice. I hope it's o.k. to post this, if not, I apologize in advance. willride3 p.s. it is not mine. |

Thomas; yes, that is exactly what this section is for, for members to post sightings of instruments for sale that other members might be interested in purchasing or just interested in seeing. Thanks. |

This bass is now on ebay, I've seen and played it, it's a great bass. I'll bet a good offer will get it well below the asking price wink wink. |

It is beautiful but I believe the old Mark Kings are heavy! like 11 or 12lbs... Plus the upper horn is fairly short, around the 17th fret so it will hang in the 3:00 position, not many players use that position, thus the Balance K these days. No purpleheart lams either. It sure is pretty, but the price is much, much too high. |
