Hmmmm... I dunno, maybe some good ole ebay related stuff: does this look like a good safe buy, etc. It's a very attractive bass: signature electronics, beautiful wood.

Yeh, I really do hope someone can offer 4.5k for that thing. It's one of the most beautiful basses I've ever seen. It's at 3k right now...

I don't see anything in the ad itself that would be cause for concern. He has a 98.2 rating. You should read through the feedback. There are two negatives. You may want to try emailing the most recent negative. Corresponding with the seller before the auction ends can also increase, or decrease, comfort level.

Yeh, I saw the negatives. The most recent one appears to be a shipping issue: the buyer didn't get insurance and UPS damaged it. That's not the first time I've heard of that happening with UPS.
