Here are some pics of my MK, 03MK13088USA, 34" scale, 3/4 body, four string. It is in mint condition and includes the OEM hard shell case. Woods are coco bolo top and back, mahogany body with maple laminates and maple and purpleheart neck. Headstock is coco bolo top and bottom. Extras are the red LED side-markers and the omega tail. I'm looking for a SC model. Thanks.

Thanks drr. I'm actually an Alembic "oldtimer" but new to this great club. I saw Return to Forever in '75 and started saving for a short scale. In '77 I purchased a short scale from Fullerton Music sight unseen. I played it for 16 years and in a fit of insanity (and economic disaster) I sold it in '93. I currently also have a '98 quilt-top 34" Orion and I purchased the MK to be my "neck-through" Alembic. Nostalgia is getting the best of me, though, and that's why I'lm looking for a SC.

I'll bet that white Microphone is a Peavey. My group in the day had those white mics. |

You're right, Keavin, I certainly regret it. The irony here is that the 1977 new price, $1750, took me about two years to save at the time. The current price of a series bass will probably take me two years to save, also (inflation and a much better job!). |

I have 1997 quilted maple SC bass that I may wish to sell/swap - but I am in England so bass-logistics would be a bit tricky eh?? Mark |
