What is even more weird, is the fact that I won the auction on 5/18/07 for the same book - from the same Seller. However, I have not yet received the item and the Seller has not answered my emails. I'm beginning to wonder if - a. The Seller has more than one copy of the book, or b. The Seller does not have ANY copies of the book!?

Caveat Emptor, my Alembic brethren!

I might stroll down to the record shop and make subtle inquiries(with a cattle prod)...I was going to bid...maybe not if the seller never really sells.

...they should call themselves 'twice sold tales'

I just found the book for $5 here in Austin.
Brand new.

I bought a copy & had Phil auotograph it. Read it cover to cover. Strictly MY opinion, I much preferred Dennis McNally's, Rock Scully's & Steve Parish's books.

Haven't gotten to McNally or Parish yet, but thought Scully's was an interesting take on the darkness that crept into the scene, while Lesh's (besides being better written) highlighted the underlying optimism.

I preffered McNally's book with Phil's coming in a close second. When I read Parish, I got the impression he was trying to boost his own importance within the organisation. I also thought he spent too much time glorifying the crew's excesses.
I recently had the loan of Jerilyn lee Brandelius' picture book which was an interesting read.
