I want to buy a used Spoiler bass. I can't afford the Alembic I really want yet so this will have to do. Let me know what you have and what you want for it. Pictures will help. I am in Chicago but willing to pay shipping. Thanks |

Since you're considering a Spoiler, you might keep your eyes open for a Distillate as well. They're less common but more versatile -since they have the bass & treble boost/flat/cut switches as well. Occaissionally you'll see one up for sale in the same price range (or slightly more) as a Spoiler. Just a thought. They're very similar, virtually the same in every other way. Regardless, both rock... you can't go wrong with a Spoiler... it's a great Alembic bass! |

I was at Atlanta Bass Gallery on Wednesday and saw a very cool Spoiler. It is a 34" scale beauty with what looks like a zebra wood top and maple accent w/mahogany body. There is some cloudiness in spots in the clear coat but it's still a very cool bass. It's on consignment and the guy is asking $1700.00 with the case. |
