Beautiful, two of my favorite things, Epic & Zebrawood. Paul, are you about done with those stockings?

Wonderful choice in positioning the grain - another one of those Epics where the grain complements the body outline. Another example of that would be my own koa Epic. ;-)

nice zebra

Looks to be 1998 at the latest - no walnut pinstripes in the neck, and the thin polyurethane finish. It does have the newer tuners.

Your koa Epic is a great looking bass adriaan. Your grain runs opposite of my zebrawood. Mine fans out at the end where yours fans out towards the neck.

I always wondered if your Epic was in the first advertisement they ran for th Epics in Bass Player (or was it still GP at the time?).

That would be an interesting bit of history. You don't happen to have a scan of it do you?

I threw away the magazine after I bought the Epic - early summer of 94. IIRC, the grain of the zebrawood Epic in the ad had the very same orientation as yours, so it stood out in the group picture.

Just to avoid confusion - the Epic pictured above is the one from the auction (not my koa 94, which you can lookup through my profile).
