Text says it's a new old stock 2004. Looks nice; low buy-it-now price. I don't know the seller and I am not vouching for them. I'm just saying this looks like a very good deal on a new Balance K. |

Looks legitimate and too nice to pass up. It's a Mark King Signature Standard with a Balance K Point body shape. It looks like a nice walnut top and is upgraded to have purpleheart in the neck. $3499 starting bid or $3999 to buy it outright for what appears to be a brand new instrument. Check it out if you're in the market. |

I sure wish someone would snatch this one up. It's too tempting. ( Telling myself, Look away, just LOOK away) Olie |

Well, maybe I can fan the flames a little! I bought the fretless Excel 5 string that Atlanta Discount Music had on ebay a month ago. They were nice to deal with, and the day I bought it, it left the building! I like that little four stringer, too! LOL! |

Well given no back laminate, it's a Mark King Standard. According to the quote generator, the Balance K Point body is a no charge alternate to the Standard Point. The Purpleheart neck laminates are a $400 upgrade. The Superb Walnut top is a $400 upgrade. That's $7,700 according to the quote generator. And from the price list, the case is $305. So the total is $8,005. That's before any monthly special or dealer discount. Of course I may have missed something, and my guesses should not be relied on as actual quotes. |

I think you got it right, Dave. They aren't losing much, if anything, based on the pricing that was probably in effect at the time of the order. Order it today and you're looking at around $6000 out of pocket. $3500 is a pretty good deal if you're looking for a classy four without $5K in bells and whistles. |

Given the price of nice used Alembics, I dropped back, punted and put this on layaway. My back hurt from making the first payment. But at least I can take my time to pay it off. |

I think you'll like it. With the Signature electronics and the combination of woods, it will sound great. It's also going to look great; that's a nicer top than it looks in the pictures. |
