2001 Brown Bass in VERY good condition but not mint. Electronics modified by Alembic. Mono/stereo B.B. electronics with master volume control and bass boost/cut switch on neck p/u. Will put original Alembic knobs back on.

LOOKING FOR: Alembic with lighter (in color) wood such as any maple (burl, birds eye, flame, quilted)or Zebra with mahogany or walnut core. Laminates would be nice but not important.

Body Shape: Small Standard (like the B.B) Standard (would prefer 3/4) Spolier, Essence, Elan

Pick-ups: I Would prefer soap bar pickups.

Electronics: I prefer SC or MK but I WILL accept lower grade electronics

Condition: Does not have to be mint. Equal condition to my bass is preferred.

I want to trade this because my other Alembics have dark wood and I want one with lighter wood. This is a great opportunity if you want to trade up. Attached is a pic. If you have questions and want more pix, please email me (see profile for addy)

What is the scale length? Can you provide full length photos?

Chuck,
A basic brown bass is what I was playing the night you stopped by. It is a short scale. Stoney's has the additions of a master volume and bass boost on the neck pickup. I can't talk to the bass boost switch but the master volume is something that I would like on my bass.

Hi Stoney,
I'm interested in your offer, if it's still available. For trade, I have an 1992 flame maple Essence-5 (fretted)that I bought in 1994, brand new (w/ Alembic hs case). My email: terry@uoregon.edu

Some details:
34" scale
Pickups: 2WMXY (soapbars)
Tuners: Chrome, Gotoh
Fingerboard: Ebony
Neck: 7 pc maple

Question: How do you compare playing a short scale (32" ?) to a regular scale (34 or 35")?

I'm uploading a photo of it and am happy to send more.

Hi All,
I recently completed an exchange for the Brown Bass. Thanks for your interest.
