Werner - the SF-2 has an external transformer, so you should be able to use any SF-2 and just get the 220 transformer locally. The specs are 10.5-17.5 VDC with a coaxial minature jack, + is center contact. These are also printed on the back of the Superfilter. |

Thanks Mica (and Manfred as well) for the info. Unfortunately I never had the chance to try an SF-2 yet I haven't even seen one. It seems they are sold much rare than a mint Series II ;-) Is there a source where I can find more information about the SF-2 additional to the infos on the Alembic site ? Because I am a tech guy I am looking for things like input/output impedance, sensivity, frequency response, filter frequency range, slope etc. |

Hi Werner, Have a look at: http://www.alembic.com/prod/sf2.html Combined with your F-1X this is a killer. They are rare, but check out the club and ebay regularly. You'll find one. Best, Manfred |

Hi Manfred, you're right I should have read the Alembic pages a bit more carefully. They contain some informations I was asking for. Since you have sold some Alembic items recently please call if you ever plan to sell your SF-2. Your home is less than 3 hours drive from my home and I would be right there to buy it :-) Werner |

Hi Werner, There is an SF-2 on ebay right now. Try this link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2523229209&category=4713 Just as a matter of interest, there is also an F1-X and an FB-2 being auctioned, so right now, you can get all the gear you want. Mind you, I think the seller of the FB-2 is a bit unrealistic with his asking price. Although you never know these days ... Good luck with the SF-2. (I bought one from Manfred last year, and I can tell you it is a lovely piece of gear.) Best regards from Down Under Peter Jonas |

Werner, There is also one on www.bassgear.com Do a search on "alembic", with all settings left at their defaults, but on "Age Selection" allow for "Up to 1 week old". That one was posted on 11th April, I hope it is still available. If the seller is reluctant to ship to Europe, just tell him (her) it is very easy and reasonably cheap. Use US Postal Service Parcel Post Air Mail. Should cost no more than USD50.00 insured. It will take about 7 to 10 working days to arrive. No big deal. Good luck once again. Peter |
