I thought I'd put this up here before listing on craigslist. A Maxon AF-9 Auto Filter in like new condition. I don't think I have the wallwart for it (I use a Dunlop Brick to power my pedal board), but if I find one that fits I'll throw it in. $225 list, $189.99 @ Musician's Friend. $140 to anyone here, shipping included.

I'm not sure if I can find the manual that came with it (I bought it new), but, if not, it is available for free on Maxon's web site. As for paypal, I have an account that I use for ebay purchases, but I've never received $ with it before. I assume that I can though, but I have no idea what paypal charges. Let me check (or if anyone knows chime in). If it's not too much of a hassle and not too expensive, sure, I'll take paypal. I should have time this weekend to look into it. Other possibilities? If it's a question of me trusting you, no problem. How could the owner of Roman Conqueror be untrustworthy? If it's a question of you trusting me, either I could send it to Flax in Connecticut and you could pick it up from him (if Jeff is amenable) or I'd accept a post-dated check so you could always stop payment if you didn't receive the Maxon. For $125 I think any regular on this site can be trusted.

Paypal would deposit cash in you account, based on your e-mail address. With paypal, you get the funds very quickly. Another way we can close this is I can send a postal money order instead, and we can call this sold. All I need is the mailing address for you. I appreciate your trust; I am willing to wait to make sure you receive payment first, as I am trustworthy also. Thanks for your faith, and I guess my secret about the Roman Conqueror is out. I also own the Buckeye burl Triple Omega that Ed Roman featured. I had a feeling he was pulling out of selling Alembics over ther "Pricing Schedule". The thought of that instrument being used as propoganda by him bothered me, the Wickershams and their employees deserve much better than that. Ed is a character, and does have some very interesting opinions about things, but Alembics are supreme. You can me provide your address through my e-mail address, via member information (click on my member name for the link).

Steve: Email sent.

You're right about Ed. He is quite a character who never lets facts get in the way of a good story. When I was in Vegas two years ago, I stopped by his store. An amazingly large collection of guitars I had absolutely no interest in. We got to talking about Bond Electraglides (perhaps the most unusual guitar ever produced - 1400 made in Scotland 1984-85 - I have 3 and have spent some time researching the history). Ed claimed to know all about them and said the company was financed by Mick Jagger's brother. Total b.s., but creative!

Everyone else: Pedal is sold.

Bill if that pedal doesn't go, send me an e-mail I'm interested.

As for Ed, I have read a lot of neg stuff and some positive stuff. In my LV experience I was able to talk him down on the Further price, and had it in my hands the next day cleaned, well wrapped and shipped to me Downers Grove IL (they called it the Rock Star package). One of the few good stories I guess.

And after that...he didn't really have anything I was interested in either. But he's got NY spirit!

Sorry I did not confirm receipt of the pedal sooner, I've had to deal with tax season for the late crowd. For all club member, Bill is a pleasure to deal with.
