That is a pretty cool bass. I would consider it if it was not modified for a 2nd time. I would think that the bass had traditional Alembic pickups fitted at one time and not the P/J setup. I guess it has the activator electronics too since I see no 5 pin connection on it. I wonder what happened to the original guts? Maybe it comes with the bass! |

Dela- you and I think alot alike on these Guild/ALembics- this bass is cool enough but not cool enough (or ALEMBIC enough) for my cash- I am waiting for one like yours (hint) to come available. actually- my first choice would be the one with the pluto electronics like the one that up for sale not too long ago- 2nd choice would be the one you own (look me up if you ever want to sell-seriously) I am still trying to find a pluto pedal (and a foxx tone machine and a dallas arbitor rangemaster incase anyone has one)- ah- so many toys to buy, so much explaining to do to my wife. then again there is that thing called disposable cash vs investing for retirement-UGH |

I contacted the folks selling the bass on Ebay. Of course the original electronics and pickups are long gone and do not come with the bass. It would have been really cool if the electronics were still available with the bass. I was hoping for something like some tan trapezoidal pickups with twin P5-1 preamps and passive tone controls. Oh well.....Michael |
