I reported Custom body Series 1 Bass and Guitar at showcase.
I find the bass is for sale at the shop.
The price is expensive for 80's used S1(over $5000).
But Tree of life inlay is $6000 option now.
No scale information.

If the bass has 5 strings ....

This bass is now on sale at the second hand shop called "Guitar house" in Tokyo Japan. This shop doesn't have web store or E-mail adress. Telephone (03-5380-3086) is the only way to contact unless over the counter sales.

Actually,

http://www.guitar-house.com/hot070910_07.html

But they do not have email address.
I have personally dealt this them before. I sold my first custom Alembic thru this store.
Very nice store, they know their stuff, as you can see by their inventory. Their store had guitars ALL OVER the place, and it's a very small shop. They put out an ad on most popular guitar magazine in Japan, and my bass was on their ad, and sold within 2 days after magazine went on sale.

They have website. I am super tempted on this deal... as this is very nice medium scale bass.

But 598000 yen, about 5600 dollars before tax/shipping... >.<

Hi Toshiaki and Takeo,

Thank you for the advanced info.
I went to the shop half an hour ago.
The bass has only a few dings.
Good balance and light weight than my standard body basses.
S/N is 86-4*** range.

Unfortunately, shop master clearly said "No international shipping".

Eiji

P.S.
The shop has another series 1 bass.
It's lefty and no hard case, P/S and cable.
The price is very reasonable, JPY 198000 ($1700).

That '86 is a cool bass!

And $1,700 is very reasonable for an S1 w/o case and power supply.

I did notice a couple interesting things. The pickups don't appear to match, and the neck pickup is upside down. There appears to be a master volume. And at least one of the knobs doesn't look right. There's also an extra strap lock button on the other side of the point.
