I kind of like it! The unlined neck is complemented by the simple beauty of the wood...

I've got a feeling that this bass was painted black in a previous life.

Plainies are cool - it make you concentrate on the form.

Oh yeah - that mangled nuclear meltdown logo is a giveaway that is was pried off. With all the deep chipping on the back, I'm not shocked that someone decided to strip the black paint off. Would have looked absolutely horrid.

This bass was up on e-bay a couple of months ago. I missed the winning bid by 30seconds. It sold back then for $1k..... not a bad profit margin.
