Hey folks... looking for a 5-string medium scale (32"). I'll consider all offerings. Thanks!

Also... I have a short scale 4-string Essence for sale or trade. Take a look at the "For Sale" threads. I just listed it. Thanks again.

No, I sold it to someone here on the forum about 6 months ago... It went to a good home.

Custom 5 string Fretless Spoiler. Narrow string spacing,Custom body shape,Custom(?)Head stock shape like an electrum only for bass.Entire bass is purple heart with paduk stringers and accent stripes. Flamed purple heart top, Flamed ph neck/w ebony board. Sustain block, custom electronics (modified signature with stereo/mono switch and custom blend control)so you can pan between two amps. Custom form fitted roadcase included.Low mileage excellent condition a aged 10 on the 1-10 scale. Had it made, played it for about 3 months decided I should have had a six instead and went that way. So it comes out of the closet when I'm in the mood.It needs a great home a good home can most often be found.Bass sustains or days has a dark low end. Make a reasonable offer.

Sounds exceptional... my only issue is that I am looking for a fretted bass. Good luck with finding it a good home. Should be easy here.

Frank! Please get a new Alembic soon, and then change your photo - I can't stand seeing her in another man's arms!

She is the light of my life :-)

Kungfusheriff, I haven't heard back from you yet. We are fairly close to each other as I'm in Northern Jersey. Robin, sorry no pix yet. Frank,it's real easy to have someone fret a fretless going the other way is more difficult.

I don't love the idea of having someone fret it but email me some pictures and your asking price and I'll seriously consider it. Thanks...

Anyone know what Alembic gets for a fret install? Gotta be a lot more than a re-fret.

Beautiful bass. There was another shorty on eBay a few months back that I considered. During the Q&A period that we all go through when considering something like this, I asked some folks from the forum about the pro's and con's of a 5 string shorty and the answers I got helped me to decide that I want to stay with a 32" for 5 string. For one thing there are no strings made for it so you have to cut down long scales and have the fat part of the string on the post. The other was that the B was a bit "thuddy" and even on an Alembic yielded less rich rumble and more percussive "thud". I wish I could try one to judge for myself but unless I can play it I am sticking with search for a medium scale. Thanks much for the heads up on this one. I appreciate it...
