Hi there, I'm looking for a headless Status bass, 4 or 5 string, Series 2000 (all graphite) or Empathy. The younger S2 is welcome too.

I play an Alembic Series 1 and JayDee custom. Look at: http://www.jaydeeguitars.com/html/DUgallery/pic.asp?iCat=23&iPic=221

Who can help me with the Status??

Hey there, beautiful collection you have, lovely basses indeed!

There is a nice headed 5 string headed status for sale on ebay.com if you are interested. the starting price is low, so who knows.. It may go reasonably cheap!

John.

Thanks mate!

The fact is, that I specifically want a HEADLESS Status. Although this headed one is very nice indeed. Keep me posted if you see a Status with its head chopped off!

Hey there,

Not one but two particularly fine examples of headless Status basses on ebay.co.uk at the moment.

Check them out.

Have just checked the 2 Status out. As an ex-employee i can vouch that the series II is a V early 90's, the other from much later.
The series II has the 2 band eq, the other a 3 band, so the choice is yours.
You really don't see too many of these headless basses these days do you?
Good luck John with your search..

The early status basses were truly outstanding basses!

Theres not a lot on the market better than these things if you like graphite!

Hey uncle jay have you seen the Status 3000 on e-bay? Going cheap but don't think much of the cherry laminates! :-(

Hi uncle jay,

Just wondering if you had any luck finding a Status bass yet?.I have a Series 2000 s/n 250 which I may have to part with thanks to the fickle (middle) finger of fate.Feel free to contact me either here or privately if you might be interested.

I should tell you the bass had taken some scratches before I became the owner and I still feel I paid over the odds considering this, but I was desperate to get it as it had the perfect sound for the music I was involved in at the time.

Anyway if the bass may be of interest to you please contact me.

Best Wishes to you,

Simon.
