Selling my 1983 Spoiler/Exploiter. Served me in good stead until I got my Spyder. This one has a really special, gorgeous quilted maple top. Walnut core, maple neck lams. Two small dings on the upper horn that obviously don't affect the playability. She's in great shape! The photos don't do it justice, the quilted maple is especially figured and really pops. Original case too. Offering it here before it goes to eBay. Asking $2,200. Hope one of you lot gets it! - Mike (Message edited by ox_junior on February 07, 2008) (Message edited by davehouck on February 07, 2008) (Message edited by ox_junior on February 07, 2008) |

Thank you to Mike for his patience and great selling experience. Will have a great birthday gift, it is a beautiful bass guitar! I am now the proud owner of an Alembic Exploiter bass guitar. I am so glad I use this forum, was really worth it and want to thank all of you that answered my post. - Eric |

Eric, You are a very lucky guy! This particular Exploiter looks super. I am such a big fan of the Exploiter model; love the way it feels and also how it commands attention even when on a stand. Hang on to this one for the long haul and enjoy! Congrats! |

Hey Eric - Welcome to the board, and congratulations on an awesome bass - I have a walnut exploiter, similar vintage, a little more wear and tear, but I love playing it. The balance is phenomenal, and it does look great. You should keep an eye out for future Dallas Alembic gatherings - we've had 3 in the past 12 months, and it is a great group of guys. Collectively we own about 15 Alembics, with others dropping in from New Orleans, Oklahoma, and Arkansas (and Germany) for the gatherings. Hope to see you soon in Dallas. John |
