Up for auction on the UK ebay is a handsome 1997 5 string Epic! Has been a while since we have had another Alembic on the UK bay!

Starting at £599 it looks an attractive buy at the moment!

heres the link. I'm going to see how much this goes for. It may be there'll be a scottish resident one appearing if the price is right.

I lost out on a similar one back in ocober 07, seller agreed a price with me and then went "off the radar" and wouldnt answer his phone or emails:-(

I think he wasnt entirely happy with the £700 he had agreed and decided to hold onto it!

I would have preferred honesty instead of ignorance.

In fact on further inspection Im convinced that this is the same instrument that I missed out on!

I wonder why its up for auction again so quickly with a different seller?

It may be the seller didn't get on with the neck, it's quite wide and chunky.

Still, its a great bass that will probably sell cheaper than a new US Fender jazz!

I would have bought it if I hadnt been messed about with it before (is it possible its the same seller as before using a friends account?)

A four stringer is what I really want anyway:-)

Went for £695 in the end. I wouldn't let mine go that cheap!
