It's mine!! How can I get it back? After having sold it over 10 years ago because of a bad divorce(some of you know what I mean)It pops up on e-bay. I spoke to the music store who's selling it for a client who's not interested in my offer. I'm not an ebay client, it's not been my style, so any suggestions? I have two basses w/ various Alembic electronics that I would be glad to part with related to this. Even the paperwork has my scribbling on it. Any advice?

Becoming an Ebay client is easy. Just sign up. Do you have a credit card? Once you are an Ebay member, you can use the PayPal system if you have a credit card even if you do not have a PayPal account.
But I am intrigued by these other electronics you mention. What's up?

FWIW: Atomic is a legit music shop - 2 locations in MD DCMetro area, they deal in tons of used gear, but usually above average price-wise. I have no connection to Atomic. I'll have photos soon of my S-1 for posting.

First of all, as I was ready to join, I realized I did it two years ago.(DUH) With the hopes of finding a nice piece. So I plan on bidding. Second, I have two Warmoth built Jazz bass types with East meets West and AXY's, and Anniversary with the same P/U setup. I actually vary them both with Fatboys, and the sound is better than most of what I've heard. I once thought about popping them into something nice if I picked it up, now I can sell them if I get my S1 back.

As an add-on to my previous post, what should be the "fair", or commonly sold for $?

Thanks. So the seller is asking a bit extra. If it doesn't get crazy, I can deal with it. After, you gents can have my two sets of electronics because I won't need them.

Hmmm...

I could be interested in a set of electronics. Those FatBoy P/Us wouldn't happen to be for 5/6 string, would they?

I'd be willing to make the deal contingient on you getting the bass, if you like. You could then put the money toward the price of your Series...

Contact me off list if you're interested.

Blessings,
Dr. J

Got it! I'll have it prepped for shipping tomorrow. Full circle is a good thing. So is Karma. The AXY's I have are for 4 string. I have one setup of anniv w/o selector, and one setup of EMW. I also have two jazz activators.

Congrats, Marco!

I'm most interested in the anniversary electronics. I don't need the AXYs, if another club member needs them. I have a 6-string bass.

Nothing like karma :-)

Welcome to the club, Marc, that was quite an entrance - I guess you truly must belong here. Don't forget to update your profile, it will be pretty special to show the same bass as previous and current!

Hi Marc,

Congrats from Germany too!

I was watching the auction, but I didn`t place a bid, because the bass belongs to you. Its really looking very nice and I think, the price is ok too.

I bought a Mk Signature 4-String, an Excel Cocobolo 5-String, an Triple Omega Cocobolo 5 String and an MK Signature 5 String De Luxe Balance K Heart Omega in the last 3 month, I think, I have to slow down a bit.

I am interested in your pickups and electronics, perhaps we can make a deal?

Regards from Hamburg

Uli

Thanks Bob,

Once I get the Bass, which should be this Friday, I'll take pics and update. I'll include the "cousins" that have alembic electronics for as long as they are still with me. Heck, I may get rid of my status-graphite 4 while I'm at it.

Thanks again
