Fretless Epic on Ebay "Best offer?" Looks like it might be a quick sale. Serial appears to be 97 WA 0822, but I'm not sure of the "A" or the 8. |

That appears to be bubinga with a polyurethane finish. I think the serial number is 97 W 10622 (at least that's what it looks like on my monitor). If this was closer to Chicago, I might be bidding on it. Mike (Whee! post # 900) |

I don't know, looks more like walnut to me. The fact that they have an offer option open suggests they'll take less than the $999 buy price. I'd ask a few questions to confirm the condition and function and then make your best offer. Shipping will probably be $20-40 based on location. Seems like a very nice deal if it's in good shape. |

The top looks like wenge to me. This bass caught my eye, but it looks like it's seen better days... maybe it just needs some polish, it's hard to tell from the pictures. I was also a little concerned about them calling it a Fender Strat, but that's probably just a mistake from copying an old ad. Bottom line is if you don't mind the bass being a little beat up, or if you don't mind putting in the effort to clean it up, it's probably not a bad deal for under $1k. |
