Hey everybody!

I picked up my 6 string guitar for the first time in a year the other day, and realized that I really don't play guitar! I am going to list it for sale, but I figured I would see if any of my Alembic family were interested in it first. I will attatch a pic and if anyone is interested in more info/pics, just e-mail me.

If not, then I will list it at auction. What I can briefly say, is that this guitar has a hot sound. It also has a sustainer board in it that can be turned on/off and will hold a note as long as you can. It also has a Floyd Rose locking tremolo, hard shell case, the fretboard has been "scalloped" out(professionaly) from the 14th fret and up. I have owned this guitar for about 12 years now and just dabbled with it. I'm not sure of the exact year of manufacture, but they havn't been made in a looong time. I am not exactly sure what it is worth as it was given to me by a family member and intend to use the proceeds to purchase another used Alembic (I hope)!

I am estimating somewhere around $550 as every one I've seen on ebay sold for more than that.

How about grandpalembic? Or does that sound scary?

I expected to list it up on Instrument Exchange, but figured I would start here first. I think I'll take another pic though, as it looks from this one that I should have vacuumed the carpet first!

Hey Elzie,

why not a picture of you half naked on the scene of the Melrose Walk in Salomon Milwaukee head-banging in your hairy period playing this guitar.
Wow!
Although you HAVE this risk people start bidding oon you instead of the guitar ....LOL!

Methusalembic

(sounds even older as Grandpalembic!!!)

Oh man, don't mention the naked pics again...I thought that was a one time thing! Just kidding!

"Methusalembic", now that is good! I think I need to take a trip to your side of the pond. I hear there is much beer to be drunk over there and I am willing to do my part :-)

Hey how do you like that sustainer? I am very intrigued by this technology, there is also an add-on called the sustainiac which creates the same effect. I want to pick something like this up but have never played one or heard one.
