Want to trade my mint EB Stingray fretless (3-bd EQ + Fishman piezo bridge) for an Alembic 4-str. fretless. International trade possible, local (Germany) deals preferred. I'm not checking in here each day, please contact me by email TheBass_@_web.de (remove underscores).

Also for trade/sale: a beautiful Bassline Incognito 4 from german master luthier Rüdiger Ziese (Bassline). One piece maple neck, wonderfully flamed honey/amber one piece maple body, black hardware, Schaller tuners, Seymour Duncan PUs, Noll 3-bd EQ, Neutrik locking jack.

so, Werner, did you get your fretless Alembic for the Stingray, or did you "just" sell it ?
...just curious :-)

I "just" sold it :-)

But now I'm able to continue hunting with a little more cash in the back. Not easy to get a fretless Alembic in Europe. Sometimes american sellers are a bit shy to sell or trade to Europe :-)

you cannot blame our friends across the pond, Werner, it's a mess filling out the necessary documents... if they get the correct advice at all :-)
I bought overseas twice, and had a friend travel with one bass to Switzerland and picked it up there and declared it at our beloved Customs Authorities, and travelled myself for the second acquisition... a far better alternative !

My very first Alembic is just around your block, Eva is in Leverkusen, to be precise. Please kick my *$$... :-) so, there are chances that you will find a suitable bass within reasonable travel distance also...

here's crossing my fingers for you,
your Christian

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to blame someone and are also not aware of the paperwork to be done. I only see sometimes Alembics not getting sold on ebay which might have easily been sold if the seller would only accept shipping to Europe.
