Hi folks,

Theres a good example of a Distillate Exploiter for auction on ebay (sorry but i still dont know how to do links!) It features a maple neck with purpleheart strips, is this standard?

The Vermillion top is a little plain for me but Im seriously considering throwing my hat into the ring for this one! Also, the seller states that there are set up issues with the neck. Has anyone out there in Alembic land got any info about this bass? Thanks,

John.

Yes, the Purpleheart neck lams are standard on the Distillate.

I think the top looks great; and I'm guessing it looks even better in person than it does in the pictures.

The seller didn't actually state that there were setup "issues"; just that it needed a setup.

Thanks Christian, appreciate your help.

Yes thats the one! Looks really nice and I have been on the lookout for an Exploiter or Distillate.

The seller being prepared to ship to the UK is a real bonus too!

Sorry Dave, you are right. The seller states that the D and G strings are fretting out and buzzing all the way up and down the neck. That shouldnt be a big deal at all. It should be a minor set-up issue.

John.
