The thread title says it all. I am afraid that the old 1976 blue box will give up the ghost during a gig and I'll be "up the creek", so a little proactive querying is in order.

Thanks, in advance, for any and all responses!

If Chris is not interested let me know.

Hey Chris, how is AC070 doing (do you still have her)? Did you ever get the Shelby?

Mark -

Yes, I'm still interested in the DS5-R, so I'm now waiting for a response to my post. We'll see how it goes!

76AC070 is doing just fine, thanks! I take her out on every gig - and there are LOTS of them, lately. (www.themobband.com or myspace.com/themobcoverband - that one has pics)

I decided to not let her become a "closet queen" and I'm glad that I don't. There really is no sound or feel that even comes close.

Thanks for asking.

Nope, I never did make the Shelby purchase as I blew the wad on all of the band PA equipment and a truck - goes to show you my priorities!

:>)

How is everything by you? I hope that all is well!

Feel free to send a private email to the address in my response.

Chris,
A DS5-R is included with my new-to-me Series 2, but I have no use for it as I have two "Blue Boxes" already and don't own any rackmountable gear. Once I have it in hand I'll inspect it and we'll talk price. Sound good?

Unfortunately, things did not work out for the purchase that we were discussing. Looks like another "Castaway" treatment to the shipment by FEDEX!

With that said, I'm still looking to purchase a DS5-R.

Please let me know if anyone has one for sale.

Thanks!

Still no availability on the DS5-R?

Thought I'd post a new entry to bring the request to the top of the list!

DITTO the August 2nd post. I guess that these units appear to be somewhat rare - sans the Series bass, that is!
