we all know it's not easy to part with an Alembic...I am playing more fretted recently and I have two other fretless basses that will serve me fine...so I am willing to part with this one.
I've played it twice since I have had her ...sounds sooooo good.
Here is the link from our recent discussion.I am only looking to get what I paid for , which if I remember right is 1275 plus shipping.
LINK

I'll take pictures tomorrow in natural light.
I could probably get more on ebay...but I'm not looking to profit, just to put her in the hands of someone who will play her more often.

my email isn't published so I'll check back here to see if anyone is interested...

cheers

I am interested as well - I was wondering, what is the scale length and what kind of markers does it have on the side of the neck? Thanks!

Long scale...
I haven't measured it with a tape... red led's on the fingerboard at the octave.1989 serial #.

....given how nice she is and the price, I'm guessing it will be headed towards Andy's.
I'm glad there is alot of interest here ...means we can keep it in the Family.

Please keep me in mind if the deal falls through!

Still kind of wondering - are there any markers (non-LED) on the side of the neck, even at the 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th, etc.? Or is it completely blank?

Unless specified differently when ordered, probably has bronze side dots.

I'm glad someone pounced on this before I did (would have caused some strife with senior management). This is just what I've been waiting on. Great looking bass, congrats to both parties.

It looks like I'll be putting her up on ebay, or maybe I can keep her and find other things to sell to fund my project.

I'll check back (like 20 times a day) :-) just in case she strikes someones fancy.

all my best

How is this beauty not sold??? This is shocking. I hope that it goes to eBay as a pure auction so you can make a few dollars on it anyway. I have a beauty of a Spector fretless that I never play or I would be all over this. If I even played the Spector, I would jump at this to get Alembic tone from a fretless.

Good luck with the sale!

I just listed her on the bay, if anyone here is interested let me know.

thanks Bsee!! I have two other fretless basses and this one stands out in tone and beauty.
My basstar has fretlines and I need a little more cash than that would bring...the other is an 80's G&L with hang tags still and I'm not ready to pull her from the vault.
Who know's I might wake up tomorrow and list seventeen other items and decide to keep her.

c'est la vie

Thanks, Elwoodblue. This bass has the nicest vibe.

I've been very patient these past two years; biding my time until the right combination came along. Repeatedly reciting Paul's "there will be another" mantra and then lo and behold...

Look for a PM tomorrow.

thanks again,
Mike
