This is a Resurrection Alvin guitar built in 2000 in Army Green Burst. As many of you know, Resurrection Guitar is a private luthier out of Jensen Beach, FL, and was in loose partnership with Steven Cripe (who made Jerry's "Lightning Bolt" and "Top Hat"). This is NOT a Cripe make or model of any kind. It has an "Alembic vibe" with its neck-thru construction and has a 25.5" scale with 24 frets, Pau Ferro fretboard, maple and honduran mahogany neck with a southern ball cypress body. The guitar has 2 EMG 89's (humbucking/single coil pick ups). I had actually hoped to have this retrofitted with passive PUPs and wired a la Jerry, FWIW.

Although I just acquired it, I must let it go. Guitar plays and sounds excellent and is in great condition. Fit and finish is NOT what one would see in an Alembic; I was told this was a showroom demo model. The guitar is very lightweight, and the neck-through construction offers great sustain. Guitar comes with a soft case.

Make me an offer before it heads off to ebay!

Thanks!

Brian

Brian:

How would you describe the neck profile?

Hello Bill:

I'm not an expert in this, but I'd say it's C-shape; it feels more like my Breedlove acoustic than it does the Skylark, which is definitely thinner. The neck has gloss varnish on it, and this volute at the top of the neck.
