For sale is my Rickenbacker 4003 from May, 1983. Fireglo finish, looks to be one with too much yellow added at manufacture which makes it almost look like a black, red, yellow burst as mentioned in some Rickenbacker sites. In very good shape, all original except strings, comes with OHSC. Two cracks in the finish on the back of the peghead and one small ding on the side of the peghead by the E string tuning peg. Straight neck, plays and sounds great. Need to sell to help offset some medical bills. Would like to get $1500 including shipping to the lower 48 states. Contact me at lidon2001 at aol.com Thanks for looking, Tom (Message edited by lidon2001 on August 23, 2008) |

Thanks David. It is in very good shape for its age. If it only had the slimmer neck of the 4001 it would make parting with it that much more difficult. Hopefully one day I will get another. T |

Yeah, that is a beautiful Ric! I love the split pickguard of the early 4003 - makes it a nice candidate for Activators because you can put the battery under there, but it probably sounds great as is! I love Rickenbackers if you can't tell! Unfortunately, I'm not in the market right now, but good luck with the sale! Have you listed it over at the RickResource Forum? |

Hi Harry, The RickResource forum, while a great resource, requires you to post your full first and last name, and I am of the belief that without some form of anonymity here in the wilds of the Internet, it's just too easy to be taken advantage of with the fine Alembics in my household. T |

Good point - I have changed most of my web identities to just "northern California" instead of giving my specific location. I hope things work out! |
