Two four strings for sale. These are two of the rarest top-quality basses you will ever find. Spalt M401 Custom. Made by Michael Spalt in L.A., S/N 005. Chrome/Aluminum main main body with adjustable "body wings" made from Padauk and Zebrano. Birdseye maple neck and board, BadAss II bridge and EMG 18v. BTS System w/soapbars. Chrome/Aluminum headstock with Hipshot Ultralites. Red corian 12th fret inlay and nut. The workmanship is outstanding!! VERY unusual... plays brilliantly but not for the shy. Offers. Tune Custom Shop 4. Only 4 string like it ever made. This and two 5 strings were made for Yoshihiro Naruse of Casiopea, Japan's top fusion band. You can see him (and one of the 5's) on YouTube, Casiopea, "Street Performer" video. Moto Blue Fade Top (spectacular!) on one piece mahogany, white bound body. 3 pc. bound maple B.O. neck, ebony board w/block MOP inlays, brass nut, matching headstock, gold hardware, inlayed straplocks. Vol/Bld/B/M/T controls with internal trim controls in the cavity. You will NEVER see another. ***Don't confuse this bass with the Sam Ash Tune knock-offs...... this was a $3500 bass (direct) 15 years ago, is handmade and the workmanship is as good as ANY bass I've seen in 40 years. The only other Custom Shop Tune that I know to be for sale is at Bass Central for $3299 and to my eye is very pedestrian. Check it out. Offers A.M.P. BH260 amp (almost identical to the legendary 420 that Jaco used) w/2 custom made 1X10 cab's w/horns and crossovers. Tiny, 260 watts and sounds incredible. $595 Picks will be available in 24-48 hours for those sincerely interested. |

Hey Ken I also have a Tune Bass, a king Bass. It's one bad ass bass. Plays like an Alembic, and almost sounds as good. Mike Lull then re-worked the electronics and hardware. I got a great deal cause nobody seems to know what there all about. But, that includes my self. There is not much on the web about them. I was wondering if you have any information about these basses. Who made them, there origional cost and stuff like that. Thanks, Gary |
