I of course apologize for posting this here but wanted to give my fellow Alembicans first shot at this deal.

I'm selling my Acme cabs. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with them, they sound great. The Low BII has been used on ONE on-stage gig and two rehearsals. The Low BI has been used on the same on-stage gig and has had a few hours of home practice. These speakers are just not working well with the amplifier(s) I have purchased. Between Andy at Acme, Gary at Euphonic Audio and myself, we just can't solve the problem. So here's the deal.

Acme Low BII (4OHMS) with standard cover (also has tripod mounting hole).........425.00 shipped.

Low BI (8OHMS)home made "blue tarp" cover 300.00 shipped.

Buy both for 700.00 shipping included.

If you already have Acme's and love them, you may want to jump all over this one. If you're convinced that you want to be an ACME owner, now's your chance to get some at a reduced price. (I'll speak with Andy about transferring the guarantee. They were purchased last December, I think)

If you're interested, please email me directly at: johnstone@afip.osd.mil

Hi Stoney,
One more thing to try before you give up on the Acme's. Do you have a crossover in your preamp and a stereo power amp? Try bi-amping, with the low end going through the Low BII, and the highs going through the Low BI. Play with crossover point a little, I use about 750Hz. Andy doesn't seem to recommend it, because I think he wants his users to take advantage of the full range system. But I seem to get more punch and a fuller sound when I Bi-amp. Have you tried it? It's worth a shot, Let me know.

Hey Earl, how are ya? Yes I've given that a shot but my stereo amp doesn't have the power on only one channel to really make the ACME work really well. Thanks for the tip. I'm sure someone out there will take advantage of this.
