Selling Alembic FX-1 preamp, also moving a Lexicon MPX-1 multi effects and a Peavey Kosmos Sub Harmonic Generator, it's like a really good Octaver.

How old is the F-1X? Any modifications? Orignal tubes?

Hey guys just checking the club tonight, i'm asking $600, it's in great shape, no mods original tube. I bought it from Bass and Beyond when I was playing w/ Booker T about 2yrs. ago, I just don't use it. Thanks for the interest.

Welcome to the club Victor. Playing with Booker T must be pretty cool! Did you also play with Paul Hanson?

Yeah man I did, we've had many bands together! Zenith Patrol is one. Yeah Paul is a great musician, and forget about him on Bassoon!!!The Booker thing was cool too! for sure. I also have a cd coming out soon and Paul's on it, along with some other great musicians. Look for it soon, it's called Inner Portrait. Peace!

What does the mahogany neck do? Is it a dark sound or warm sound? The Cocobolo is amazing as well, she's a beautiful instrument! I can't imagine the sound of it!

Mica describes Mahogany as a "neutral" wood, and as "neither overly bright or overly warm". Before I received this instrument, my main bass was an S1 with Maple and Purpleheart neck, and Mahogany body with Maple top and back. And while there are lots of differences between the two basses, I think the Mahogany contributes to the balance that this bass has throughout the frequency range.
